The Generational Prophet
Iko J. Blackmon is a powerful preacher and teacher of the Word of God, a transparent and eloquent author, and a clear eyed and accurate prophet of the Most High. She is known for her bold, impassioned, prophetic teaching and messages of hope, encouragement, deliverance and liberty.
Apostle Iko served as a praise and worship leader and choir director for over 25 years. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Ashland University and has worked for many years within the education system, its governmental oversight and as a private vocal coach. She’s spent decades developing her leadership and training skills across the Church, government and business systems.
Her first book, Beat the Devil Runnin’, was published in 2010. This thought-changing work is a profound telling of her testimony of uncommon deliverance and the Lord’s shifting of her perspective. It includes the testimonies of genuine change from several other women, and has been helping people across the country make indelible improvements in their lives.
In 2022 she was named the Global Prophet of His 2 Obey Global Ministries, under Presiding Apostle, Dr. Arcenia M. Finley. Apostle Iko and her husband Stephen were set in as the pastors of Opportunity Hub Atlanta in September of 2022. She is also the mother of two outstanding daughters – Seimphonie and Harmony.
Apostle Iko launched her podcast Runnin’ Worldwide with Iko J. Blackmon in early 2023. Her second book, Runnin’ With the Horses: Perspectives of an Overcomer, was released in 2023. And Runnin' With the Horses Volume 2 is set for release in early 2026.
Apostle Iko continues to travel, minister, encourage and prophesy to the nations within the church and outside of the church as the Lord guides her.
